The Lakedale log homestead was originally designed for the Lakedale Resort in the San Juan Islands, Washington, where the six cabins are used for vacation rentals. The log packages were pre-assembled at the Meadowlark yard in Libby, Montana, dismantled and shipped on trucks via ferry to be re-assembled on the island. These cabins are unique as they feature a 600 sq. ft. main floor and a half-loft of 300 sq. ft. This design makes a perfect small home because it offers a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home design in a small amount of space.
